Broad-spectrum, non-corrosive disinfectant. Safe to use on all surfaces in aquaculture.

Application

Virocid can be used to disinfect all surfaces. As a disinfectant, Virocid has been thoroughly tested against over 100 different agents. Including viruses, bacteria, molds and yeasts. For a full overview of all pathogens that Virocid has been tested against see: www.virocid.com.

In ready-to-use solution, Virocid is almost neutral in pH, which means that it can be used on all surfaces without any risk of corrosion damage. Virocid can be used for surface disinfection, deep disinfection as well as hot and cold mist disinfection.

Virocid is well suited for use on well boats and hatcheries, such as on surfaces in vessels, wells, walkways and on equipment. As the product foams well, it is not recommended for use in pipes and CIP systems. Sensitive equipment, such as vaccination machines, can be safely disinfected with Virocid without any risk of damage to the equipment.Avoid spraying directly on electronics.

The disinfectant Virocid is approved by DMP and the Norwegian Food Safety Authority for use in the aquaculture industry.

User instructions

As with all other disinfection, we first recommend thorough cleaning with one of our soaps. Disinfecting without prior cleaning is a waste of time and money. For the best effect and the longest contact time with the substrate, Virocid should be applied as foam with a low-pressure foam injector, then it is easy to see where the agent has been applied. When using Virocid for immersion disinfection of equipment, we recommend a contact time of at least 30 minutes.

Usage concentration

• For use in aquaculture, it is recommended to use a 1.5% application solution.

• Calculate 0.4 liters of ready-to-use solution per m².

• For hot or cold mist disinfection, use 1 liter of VIROCID per 1000 m³. It is important that the house is completely sealed. This type of disinfection must not be carried out with animals or people present.
