Silicone-based, anti-foaming agent.

Application

Defoam FG-10 is a silicone-based, anti-foam agent that can be used in well boats, tanks and vessels with fish during transport and treatment. Foam damping is important i.a. to be able to observe the fish, and for the CO2 aerators to function optimally.

User instructions

• Defoam FG-10 contains 10% active substance (polydimethylsiloxane), which is approved as a food additive (E900).

• Defoam FG-10 is water-soluble and easy to mix.

• Defoam FG-10 is effective at very low concentrations.

Usage concentration

• Often 1–10 ml per m3 of water give the desired effect, but this can be increased considerably if there is a lot of foam-forming material in the water.

• When used in a well boat during freshwater treatment, 1 liter to 1000 m3 can be a suitable starting dosage.

• Defoam FG-10 should ideally be mixed with about 10 parts water to give a quick and good effect. Shake the mixture well before adding to the water. Such a stock solution should be used within 8 hours of mixing.
